The Problem

Plant owners are having trouble maintaining the health of their plants. It is hard to find reliable information to create consistent care schedules. This situation creates a mental strain for plant owners, which leads to de-motivation to care for plants.

The Solution

We created an app that allows users to create care schedules to cater to various plant requirements. Users can also talk to professionals and engage with community to receive reliable plant care information.

User Insight

Plant enthusiast need plant care schedules because they’re not sure how to take care of the plants

During our user interviews, we discovered that many plant owners have difficulties creating consistent watering schedules.

Therefore we believe that by creating a platform that can implement a consistent watering schedule based on plant type and location, can solve the issues that most plant owners are having.

We might be able to do this by creating a mobile app that gives users the ability to create plant care schedules with alerts based on individual plant requirements. Doing this will allow plant owners to keep consistent schedule to avoid overwatering and/or under watering.

Final Thoughts / Conclusion

It is difficult for plant owners to maintain the health of their plants, due to inconsistent watering schedules.

We created a centralized app for plant owners, in which users can track watering schedules, diagnose unwell plants, with a special feature that allows users to have a live call with a plant professional to help increase the life quality of their plants.

Our next step is to make the app more accessible app with functionality that is aligned with the user’s needs. We want our users to be able to enjoy plant nursing without being frustrated during the process.

In the future we hope to implement a complete plant encyclopaedia with verified information where users have an accurate database to help research the plant they are taking care of.
